By their very nature, larger events and well established venues require security on a larger scale, hence the EOC or Emergency Operations Centre.
The most critical component of an EOC is the individuals who staff it. They must be suitably trained, and have the proper authority and support to carry out actions that are required of them in the event of an emergency. They also must be capable of independent, lateral thinking and multitasking through a range of "what if" scenarios.
Our EOC operators are experienced in the use of commercial CCTV systems which afford them the opportunity to monitor multiple targeted areas remotely, and they are experienced in coordinating the appropriate response to any areas of concern that are identified.
To enable a coordinated response to any incident, members of the Weslo Operations Group have radio handsets. Supervisors will also be issued with mobile tablet devices that will allow them to instantly capture images and submit reports directly to the EOC for distribution as required. The tablets also incorporate software that allows immediate reporting on staff changes and therefore greater accuracy with rostering and accounts finalisation.
Their experience is invaluable in the co-ordination of any incident and liaising with participating emergency services (organisation, staff and equipment) in accordance with the requirements imposed by the threat or impact of an incident. They successfully bring together organisations and elements to ensure an effective response, consistent with existing legislation and current practice.
DEBRIEF
Upon completion of any major event, our key staff members will submit debrief reports and a subsequent debrief will be conducted. The Event Manager will conduct this debrief and it will be documented in order to ensure that any lessons learnt are captured.
