COVID19 hit's events industry

​Hi, As everyone is undoubtedly aware, Coronavirus or COVID19 has hit the events, theatre and hospitality industry exceptionally hard. Weslo is doing what we can during this time and are planning for the next 6 months ensuring Weslo's long term viability.   
Obviously with events being cancelled, shifts have and will be lessened. However, we are looking at every roster and working how we can best share the work. We understand our casual workforce is the hardest hit in this pandemic.

We are looking into resources to help our valued employees get assistance through the government benefits being offered. We are also hoping that with further lockdowns put in place and resources being stretched that the need for asset protection becomes available to us.  There is talk about the need for security in supermarkets, chemists, etc to assist in controlling the panic of abusive patrons and que management to ensure public safety.

Should such needs arise we are putting together a list of guards who would like the opportunity to work, and again will share the load within our group.  We understand this may not be for everyone as some may be in the high risk group of caring for someone in a high risk group.  Let us know your availability if you are interested and we will add you to our first point of call lists should the need for guards in our community arise.

We will be around post Coronavirus 2020 but things will probably never be the same again. Please take care of yourself and each other. And we’ll see you all soon.
